Maybe why I started this blog? Okay, let’s go with that.
Let’s just put it out there, shall we? I am a 30-something, white, born-again Christian, politically conservative wife & mother. As much as our society says that puts me in the majority, the “ruling class” so to speak, I have felt for years that I was being shushed. It seemed that unless you were willing to go with the flood of bunk flowing thru the world, your voice wasn’t wanted, and therefore was quieted, hushed.
And I did. I sat down. I stayed quiet. I was worried I would lose friends, or my job, or upset family members just for voicing my thoughts, opinions, or even beliefs.
But the past year or so I have felt more and more compelled to not accept being shushed, to speak up, to speak out, to let my voice be heard.
After spending probably way too much time trying to figure out what that would look like for me, I really felt like a blog was the way to go.
So here I am. Jodi Speaks.
I hope you’ll stay around and check out what I have to say.
Have a wonderful day!
